The Windermere Golf &Country Club is immediately adjacent to the resort and available for both resort guest and public / green fees play. This championship course is a challenging test for accomplished players, yet enjoyable for shorter hitters and less experienced golfers. The eye-catching layout is built between granite ridges of the Canadian Shield, providing elevated tees and great vistas over the course.
Greens are small to average in size, firm, sloped, undulating and fast, but putt true and are not overly punitive. Fairways are generous, but many have tree-lined perimeters that spell trouble for erratic tee shots. Stiffening the somewhat short course (just 6443 yards from the tips) are strategically placed ponds and bunkers - both in the fairways and greenside.
The Windermere G&CC has recently opened a stylish new clubhouse which houses the pro shop, restaurant / lounge and club storage area. Cart rentals are available.
